Generally, we will post our final line each week Tuesday or by Wednesday at the latest. Once the line is posted, it does not change. You must submit your score predictions at least 24 hours ahead of game time.

Please note that you MUST CLICK Submit after entering your score pick for the favorite and your score pick for the underdog so that your score picks can be saved.  Also, if you are playing in the Head to Head Contest you must enter your Head to Head picks there as well as in the list of World Championship games.

You will know your score pick has been accepted after you click Submit because a green box will pop up in the top right corner telling you your pick has been submitted successfully. The red Submit button will also dim.  If you have any trouble entering a score pick, refresh the screen.

Tips for Success in the NSPL

There are 267 games played in the NFL season—256 regular season games and 11 playoff games. Make score predictions for them all. Success in the NSPL is based on wins, and if you aren’t making a score prediction for a game, you have no chance for a win—or three wins, as it just so happens.

Each NFL game is actually three NSPL games—your success (or failure) to pick the winner straight up, your success (or failure) to be on the correct side of the spread, and your success (or failure) to be on the correct side of the over/under (total points). If you want a shot at being world champion, focus on these three aspects. It’s awesome when you get an exacta (you correctly predict the exact score of the game), but when you’re making score predictions, don’t worry about getting an exacta.

Think about likely scoring combinations—multiples or combinations of 3, 7, or 10. Yes, weird scores like 25-22 happen (2024 Super Bowl, anyone?), and yes, there are safeties and 2-point conversions, but they are less common. Sometimes you will have to pick a weird number to be on the side of the spread or the over/under that you choose, but try to reduce how often you do that.
